Hi everyone!
Just a reminder that Jack and I are teaching at Light Workshops August 2-6 and will be back in September for their Fall Photo Fest. Come out to see us if you can - get the details at www.lightworkshops.com Hope to see you soon!
ALSO, we are working on finalizing the next 6 cities in the US and another 4 in Canada. We will be posting dates pretty soon so check back with us, OK? The cities we are looking at are Boston, DC, Minneapolis, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Sacramento and Honolulu. It's just a matter of finding the right dates for the right cities so we don't piggy back on other events in those areas. See you soon! Thanks!

Happy Friday!
I thought I would post a tip for you today - let me know if you want more of these. What is the best circumstance for using content aware fill? The best images are those where the background is either blank or has a complex design of compositional elements that have potential for joining up somewhere behind the object you which to remove, like fences, tree lines etc. When you select the object you wish to remove, make a fairly tight selection - a large one indicates you wish the sections of the background removed as well, and it confuses the program. Try it for removing acne spots - just use the lasso tool to circle one definite spot, hold the shift key down while you circle all of the other spots and then choose Edit / Fill / Content Aware. You will love it!
Hello from Chicago where SUMMER appears to have officially arrived! I came in early to enjoy some Chicago Blues - Big Time Sarah was amazing as always at B.L.U.E.S. on Halsted - and after Jack arrived we HAD to treat ourselves to a Chicago Dog. Now we are ready to go - I can't wait for this week because we both pulled new images to demo some of the way too cool treats in CS4 and CS5 and we're inspired by all of the 98% "exellent" ratings we've been getting! Please spread the word for our events - bring a friend, because we really are working hard to make our Two Shots the best educational event of the year. Grand Rapids and Detroit will be special for me as I was born in Lansing, so hello you Michiganders! See you soon!
Hello everyone from the Pacific Northwest! There is still time to register online for the internet discount price! I got in to Seattle on Saturday evening - the DoubleTree Guest Suites is a nice place to have an event like ours. Yesterday was a rest up day for me so I went across the street to a mall and found an incredible fresh vietnamese restaurant - in the food court, no less! - that makes everything fresh in front of you - PLUS it has happy hour every night with signature cocktails and full dinners! What a great find! I had fresh spring rolls and a green coconut and am going back today for more! I LOVE this part of the country and could live here in an instant - anybody need a good retouching artist? Big Smiles! See you tonight, Seattle - tomorrow, Portland - and then the world class city of San Francisco, where vibrant life oozes from around every magnificent corner! This is going to be a GREAT week!
Hi from Jane and Jack! First, thank you everyone for making our first 3 cities ROCK! It was an honor and pleasure to spend time with you! Thank you for sharing your feedback - Jack and I pour over them, re evaluate, redirect and are getting smoother and better based upon your feedback and suggestions. We have slowed down, re organized some of our projects and sessions based upon what you've shared you want to know and received in Denver 99% reviews of Excellent and Very Good (we're aiming for all Excellents!) - and definitely worth the time and money. Thank you!
Requests for notes - Jack has provided presets and actions on his AdventuresInPhotoshop.com site. I am posting some notes and a set of my retouching brushes on this site, hopefully this weekend as I have a day off in Seattle prior to our Seattle, Portland and San Francisco week.
Requests for dvds - Jack's and my CS5 content dvds will be shipping in two weeks. You can purchase them at our event discount price during the tour - just drop me an email through this site and we'll make sure you receive the discount of 75 dollars per disc (regular price is 99 dollars).
Remember to check out our sponsors discounts as well - I notice Dury's has the NIK suite at 200 dollars off retail plus Tamron lenses at prices that can't be beat. Graphic Authority is promoting my new henna designs at 99 dollars (regular price is 180) at the events so if you're not registered yet, come and check us out. Thanks again to everyone who came out to make our debut a great success and also for your interest in helping us be the best we can be for you! See you soon!

Just wanted to thank you again for a terrific workshop. I've already used several files from Graphic Authority. I purchased a a collection at a great price - which are ready to use as is or to alter. I used some of Jane's painter techniques as well as some cosmetic enhancement tools that were quick and easy. I also took advantage of the downloads from Jack. I'll probably purchase the DVD - so I don't how to use them. These seminars are invaluable to the "starving artists" like me who are always hungry to learn more... on a shoestring budget. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
